Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, how Nemasoft uses them across our platform and applications, and the choices available to you.

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet, or mobile device when you visit a website or use an application. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to website owners. Cookies set by Nemasoft are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than Nemasoft — such as analytics providers, advertising networks, or embedded content providers — are called "third-party cookies". In addition to cookies, we may also use similar technologies such as web beacons (also known as tracking pixels), local storage objects, and software development kits (SDKs) in our mobile applications. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" throughout this policy.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies to: • Operate and secure our platform — keeping you signed in, protecting against cross-site request forgery, and detecting suspicious activity; • Remember your preferences — such as your language, theme, and trading layout settings; • Understand how our platform is used — so we can improve performance, fix issues, and build better features; • Measure the effectiveness of our marketing — so we can reach the right people with relevant information; • Deliver personalised content and advertisements — both on our platform and on third-party sites you visit after leaving ours.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
These cookies are essential for our website and platform to function correctly. They enable core features such as account login, session management, security token validation, and fraud prevention. Without these cookies, services you have requested — such as accessing your trading account or completing a transaction — cannot be provided. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is required for the session.
Retention: Session / up to 1 year
- Session authentication tokens
- CSRF protection cookies
- Load balancer routing cookies
- Security and fraud detection identifiers
Functional cookies allow our platform to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, personalised features. For example, they may remember your preferred language, display theme (light or dark mode), chart layout preferences, or the region you are trading from. The information these cookies collect may be anonymised and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.
Retention: Up to 1 year
- Language and region preferences
- Theme and display settings
- Chart layout and instrument preferences
- Two-factor authentication preferences
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our platform by collecting and reporting information anonymously. They tell us which pages are visited most frequently, how users navigate between sections, where they encounter errors, and how long they spend on each feature. This data helps us improve platform performance, fix bugs, and prioritise new features. We use providers such as Google Analytics and Mixpanel, which are contractually prohibited from using this data for their own purposes.
Retention: Up to 2 years
- Page view and session duration tracking
- Feature usage and click-path analysis
- Error and crash reporting
- A/B testing and conversion tracking
Marketing cookies are used to deliver advertisements that are relevant and engaging to you, both on our platform and on third-party websites and social media platforms. They track whether you have visited our site before and help us limit the number of times you see the same advertisement. They also help us measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. These cookies may be set by us or by trusted advertising partners such as Google Ads and Meta.
Retention: Up to 2 years
- Retargeting and remarketing identifiers
- Ad frequency capping
- Campaign attribution and conversion tracking
- Social media pixel tracking (Meta, LinkedIn)
4. Third-Party Cookies and SDKs
Some cookies on our platform are placed by trusted third-party providers. These include: • Google Analytics — website and app usage analytics • Google Ads / DoubleClick — advertising and conversion tracking • Meta Pixel — social media advertising and retargeting • LinkedIn Insight Tag — B2B advertising and analytics • Intercom — customer support and in-app messaging • Stripe / payment processors — secure payment session management • Cloudflare — security, performance, and bot protection Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not control third-party cookies and recommend reviewing the relevant provider's privacy policy for more information. All analytics providers we use are contractually prohibited from selling or sharing your data or using it for any purpose other than providing their services to us.
5. Cookies in Our Mobile App
Our iOS and Android applications use software development kits (SDKs) provided by our business partners that allow the app to interact with third-party services. These SDKs may collect device identifiers, usage data, and crash reports. To opt out of app tracking on iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and disable tracking for the Nemasoft app. Alternatively, when prompted on first launch, tap "Ask App Not to Track". To opt out on Android: Go to Settings → Privacy → Ads, and tap "Delete advertising ID" to prevent apps from accessing it.
6. Cookie Duration
Cookies are either "session cookies" or "persistent cookies": • Session cookies are temporary and are deleted automatically when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your login state and security tokens during a single visit. • Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period — typically between 30 days and 2 years — or until you delete them manually. They are used to remember your preferences and recognise you on return visits. The specific retention period for each cookie is listed in the cookie types table above and in our full cookie inventory, available on request.
7. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several options for controlling cookies: Cookie Preference Centre: When you first visit our platform, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category. You can update your choices at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer of our website. Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. The following links provide guidance for common browsers: • Google Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies • Mozilla Firefox: about:preferences#privacy • Safari: Preferences → Privacy • Microsoft Edge: edge://settings/privacy Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our platform. For example, disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in or completing transactions. Industry Opt-Out Tools: You can submit an industry-wide opt-out for interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) at optout.aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at optout.networkadvertising.org.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Our platform does not currently respond to DNT signals, as there is no consistent industry standard for how to interpret them. We will update this policy if that changes. In the meantime, you can use our Cookie Preference Centre or browser settings to control tracking.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or an in-platform notice. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
